1925 Norfolk AvenueSt. Paul, MN 55116(651) 696-8439Fax: (651) 696-8431Southwest Area Meals provides hot, nutritious meals to persons in the southwest St. Paul neighborhoods. The low-cost meals program is especially beneficial for persons home recovering after a hospital stay.
There are no eligibility, age, or income requirements. Meals are delivered Monday-Friday by generous volunteers from nearly two dozen area churches.
Clients may order from one to five meals weekdays. Extra meals can be delivered on Friday for reheating over the weekend. The nutritionally balanced meals are prepared daily at St. Mary's Home.
Special diets include: low sodium (2 grams/day), diabetic, low fat, no spice, ground and pureed. The delivery area for the meals program encompasses the southwest portion of St. Paul, an area bordered by the Mississippi River on three sides and Summit Avenue on the north.
