Wish List
Our Lady of Peace Home is able to carry out its mission thanks to a generous community of donors. We have created a “wish list” for individuals or groups that would like to donate specific items to enhance the quality of our patients and families lives while here.
1. Patient Rooms. ($1000.00/each) With the help of designer Kathy Young, we are remodeling our patient rooms. Our goal is to provide patients with a little more privacy, shelves to display family photos and memorabilia, a larger and more usable bedside table, and a more “home-like” feel.
3. Staff Continuing Education Fund. This fund will allow our staff to attend workshops, take continuing education classes, and other measures to keep themselves current with the latest in end-of-life care ministry.
4. Staff Scholarship Fund. Many of the staff at Our Lady have been here for a long time. Many cherish their profession and have a dream to go back to college and finalize their education dreams. This fund will help them pay for the rising costs of higher education.
5. General Operating Budget. Meeting the ongoing operating costs for Our Lady of Peace Home is a constant challenge. For example, the cost to rent a Pain Pump runs close to $3,000/month. As our entire operating budget is funded through donations, a gift to the General Operating Budget is not as glamorous, but very much needed!
